Keeping fit by running, jogging, or enjoying a variety of recreational activities is important to travelers in the 1980s. The Sheraton Hotels have responded to guests' requests that many of its hotels and inns provide running maps or facilities, along with other recreational amenities.

At the Sheraton-Boston, the hotel provides a map, available at the front desk , which indicates one, three- , and five-mile courses starting at the door of the hotel and incorporating part of the Charles River path.

The Sheraton Inn-North in Columbus, ohio, offers an indoor pool located below a circular elevated running track.

The Sheraton-ST. Louis Hotel at Convention Plaza outlines a three-mile course that parallels the Mississippi River and provides guests with a variety of juices in the lobby from 7 to 8 a.m. daily.
