Iraqi officers claim key passes seized

Iraqi forces have seized control of two strategic frontier mountain passes in Iran's rugged northwestern Kurdistan Province, according to Iraqi officers at the front. But Iranian troops, defeated in the desert plains of the south in a big tank battle earlier this month, are mounting fresh operations in the snowy north involving both heavy artillery and in fantry attacks.
