US asks UN unit to curb nations aiding terrorists

The United States has demanded tough international sanctions against nations providing terrorists with weapons, training camps, and funds. It told the UN Commission on Human Rights here that terrorism has reached "epidemic proportions" which strike at the very heart of world order. Michael Novak, chief US delegate at the annual session of the 43-nation commission, rejected a Soviet-backed draft resolution on terrorism as falling far short of the kind of action that must b e taken.
