Puerto Rican Guerrillas convicted in bomb attacks
Ten members of the Puerto Rican guerrilla group FALN were convicted of seditious conspiracy for a wave of bomb attacks and other violent acts against the United States. The FALN has waged a violent struggle for Puerto Rican independence and has been blamed for more than 100 bomb blasts in American cities in the last six years. The FALN members, who will be sentenced Feb. 18, face jail sentences of up to 80 years. The defendants are already serving prison terms on charges of armed robbery and illegal possession of firearms.
