Fears of another right-wing coup attempt in Spain were revived by the arrest of several civilians and three Army officers, including one involved in a 1978 plot to overthrow the democratic government. The arrests, four months after an abortive coup, coincided with a threatened political crisis caused by factional feuding within the ruling centrist party. The Defense Ministry said the officers were questioned by p olice about a possible conspiracy, but gave no details.
