California gas station: sells methanol

A service station whose fuel will be provided by fermenting organic matter opened in July in the San Fernando Valley. Future Fuels of America opened the station, the first of 40 methanol stations the company says it will develop in California.

Methanol is an alcohol fuel made from fermenting organic matter such as leaves, grain, or garbage. Vehicles mu st be specially modified to burn the synthetic fuel.
