Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

Students and other faculty members ''vote'' for the teacher of their choice by putting money in a jar (varsity cheer leaders raise money for new uniforms this way). The jar with the most money determines the winner who then gets to kiss a live (squealing) pig at a school assembly.
