Explosion sinks tanker; 16 crew members rescued

The US-registered tanker Golden Dolphin sank and nine of its crewmen were missing and presumed dead after an explosion about 750 miles east of Bermuda Saturday night, the US Coast Guard reported. Sixteen survivors from the crew of 25 Americans were picked up by a Swedish vessel. The 45,000-ton Golden Dolphin was sailing from New Orleans to Port Said, Egypt
