Reagan picks Feldstein as new economic chief

Martin Feldstein, President Reagan's choice to head the Council of Economic Advisers, is described as more in tune with Reagan's views.

The Harvard economist was nominated to succeed Murray Weidenbaum, who supported Reagan's broad aims but disagreed with the administration's so-called rosy economic forecasts. The post requires Senate confirmation.
