Marines' landing held up as Israelis linger in Beirut

Reagan administration officials said the 800 US Marines were expected to land in Beirut Tuesday or Wednesday after final agreement was reached with Israel on the withdrawal of its forces from the Lebanese capital. Their deployment was delayed by the continued Israeli presence.

In a separate report from the Pentagon, two unarmed American majors were among four UN observers killed Saturday by a land mine east of Beirut.
