US lifts military sanctions imposed on Argentina

The United States has lifted military sanctions it imposed against Argentina soon after Argentine forces seized the Falkland Islands in April, said Larry Speakes, White House deputy press secretary. The economic measures were ended in July after Britain's victory in the fighting in the South Atlantic.
