5 Lebanese soldiers killed in feuding in mountains

Five Lebanese were killed in cross fire Monday between feuding Christian and Druze Muslim militias in the Israeli-occupied mountains east of Lebanon's capital.

Israeli forces moved into the fighting area, calling out with loudspeakers for a halt to the latest of bitter sectarian clashes that have left dozens dead in the past two months. There was no indication of any Israeli military action.

The rightist Phalangist Voice of Lebanon radio said three people were killed in a Sunday shoot-out in the Shouf.
