Bowing to opposition from conservative Republican senators, President Reagan will not resubmit the nomination of senior Foreign Service officer Robert Grey to a high arms-control post, administration officials said. The post in question is deputy director of the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency.
Mr. Grey was strongly backed by ACDA director Eugene Rostow, who had hinted that he might resign if the nomination were blocked.
