Work abroad, essay contest

Given the choice between a summer job in Boston and one in London, which would you choose? For American college students a summer job in a foreign country can become reality.

Through the Work Abroad Program of the Council on International Educational Exchange, full-time college students may spend up to a semester living and working in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, or New Zealand.

The Work Abroad Program can eliminate the red tape that usually accompanies obtaining permission to work in a foreign country.

For information on the programs write Council on International Educational Exchange, 205 East 42nd Street, New York, N.Y. 10017, or telephone (212) 661- 1414.

Do you hold some strong beliefs on religious liberty? Americans United for Separation of Church and State is sponsoring an essay contest (2,000 to 2,500 words) with a $1,000 cash prize to the first-place winner. For further details contact Gioele Settembrini at Americans United, 8120 Fenton Street, Silver Spring, Md. 20910. The essay deadline is July 1.
