Arab states to hold summit, Arafat says
Palestine Liberation Organization chairman Yasser Arafat said an Arab summit is to be held to discuss Middle East problems. Arafat said summit topics would include the outcome of visits to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council by an Arab League delegation to explain a Middle East peace plan adopted last year.
When asked about the five Palestinian guerrillas whose execution he announced Saturday, Arafat said they had been executed three months ago for trying to assassinate some of his top aides. They had belonged to the anti-Arafat Abu Nidal group, he added.
