Second day of bombings on Arab targets in Britain
A bomb exploded Sunday near the homes of Libyans in the northern city of Manchester in a second spate of attacks on Arab targets in Britain in two days. Police said the blast injured no one but that a woman and child were hurt when a bomb disposal team detonated a second explosive device found nearby.
British Foreign Secretary Geoffrey Howe said Saturday any Libyan-inspired ''acts of terrorism'' on British territory would seriously affect relations between London and Tripoli.
Police said they believed a Libyan group was behind a blast early Saturday that injured 23 people, three seriously, at a nightclub in London which was popular with Arabs.
