Troubled Chicago bank has a potential suitor

The holding company of Chicago's second-largest bank is looking at troubled Continental Illinois National Bank & Trust Company ''with great interest,'' a spokesman says, but he denied any takeover bid was being prepared.

''We are not preparing a bid,'' said Bill Baldwin, spokesman for First Chicago Corporation, parent company of First National Bank of Chicago.
