Jackson vows to go on with Sakharov mission

The Rev. Jesse Jackson vowed Thursday to proceed with his ''peace mission'' to the Soviet Union despite President Reagan's suggestion he may be breaking the law.

Mr. Reagan said the Mr. may have violated a federal statute barring private citizens for negotiating with foreign governments in behalf of the United States when he traveled to Cuba last week and arranged the release of 22 Americans and 26 Cubans from jail.

Jackson has said he plans to ask the Kremlin to allow Soviet dissidents Andrei Sakharov and his wife, Yelena Bonner, to leave the USSR.
