High court agrees to take homosexual-teacher case
The Supreme Court agreed Monday to decide whether states may empower local public school boards to fire teachers who advocate, encourage, or promote homosexuality. It will review a federal appeals court ruling that such an Oklahoma law violated teachers' free-speech rights.
