Prisoners to get court ruling on right to appeal discipline

The Supreme Court agreed Tuesday to decide whether prison inmates have a constitutional right to a court appeal of disciplinary punishment by prison officials. The court said it will review a ruling that overturned disciplinary action against two Massachusetts inmates.

Last June, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled that two inmates at Walpole State Prison were wrongly disciplined on the basis of insufficient evidence.
