Contadora group says it's had peace talks with Cuba, USSR

The Contadora group has had official contacts with the Soviet Union and Cuba in its quest for peace in Central America, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Isidoro Morales Paul said Wednesday.

Mr. Morales, attending the annual assembly of the Organization of American States here, said the consultations were part of the efforts of the group to obtain contributions ''of all parties directly or indirectly involved in the conflict in the search for a peaceful solution.''

He added that demands by the United States, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Honduras that the arms control procedures be stiffened were ''inadmissible.''
