Soviet, US experts wind up talks on crime causes, curbs

Soviet and American criminologists meeting in this city, one of the nation's poorest, to discuss their research into the roots of crime and its prevention found they were ''on the same wavelengths,'' a participant said Wednesday.

Rutgers University School of Criminal Justice sponsored the 10-day seminar, which ended Wednesday. Topics ranged from the origins of urban crime to the role of public education, the courts, police, and voluntary organizations in combating crime, especially in cities.
