Visit to Peking by high official from USSR is to be next week
Soviet Vice-Premier Ivan V. Arkhipov is scheduled to arrive in Peking Dec. 21 for an official visit that had been abruptly postponed by the Kremlin last May. He would be Moscow's highest-ranking emissary to Peking in 15 years. Mr. Arkhipov was Soviet economic adviser in China during the 1950s.
During his visit, the two sides are expected to sign a long-term 1986-90 trade agreement, to agree on technical cooperation for Soviet help to upgrade 30 plants, and to set up a technological and scientific commission.
