Home resales climb 9.1% in November

Resales of single-family homes, bolstered by falling interest rates, climbed 9.1 percent in November, the first increase since April, the National Association of Realtors reported Thursday.

Sales climbed in November to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 2.89 million units, compared with a rate in October of 2.65 million units. Sales in October had dropped 0.7 percent, the sixth consecutive decline.
