GEESE streak the sky. Cranes increase. Children nest in trees That no leaves grace. Hats set aside, Runners splash past Yards dotted with cans. Prints crowd the mud Of running paths. We measure the spring - Joggers who run, Blackbirds that call - By the afternoon sun, Or not at all.
