COCAINE INDICTMENTS AGAINST CREW

A federal grand jury charged the crew of a ship that was carrying a record six tons of cocaine when the Coast Guard boarded it in the Gulf of Mexico on Oct. 2. A woman and eight men were charged Friday with possessing cocaine with intent to distribute it. Conviction could bring up to life in prison because of the amount of cocaine involved, said Assistant US Attorney Mike McMahon.
