WORTH NOTING ON TV

MONDAY The Court Martial of Jackie Robinson (TNT cable, 8-10 p.m.): Instructive drama reminding us that breaking into the major leagues was by no means the baseball legend's first battle with prejudice. When Robinson wouldn't sit in the back of an army bus in World War II, the vicious backlash landed him in court. A potent cast stars Andr'e Braugher as Jackie and Ruby Dee as family matriarch Mallie. The American Experience: (PBS, 8-11 p.m.): In a blockbusting effort to treat the subject as history, not jazzed-up journalism, `Nixon' profiles the undeniably fascinating man and politician from his youth in California through an ill-fated presidency. Nixon himself declined to take part, but many people close to him did, and they paint a full picture - although one that leaves out his interesting years after resigning office.

TUESDAY Power in the Pacific (PBS, 10-11 p.m.): It has the world's fastest-growing economy and largest exchange of trade, not to mention two billion people. The Pacific Rim's past and booming present is examined in a four-parter filmed in many countries and offering lots of high-level interviews. The starter, ``Dream of China,'' traces how American ideas about that country dictated US Pacific policy for so long. Frontline (PBS, 9-10): ``When Cops Go Bad'' - first regular episode in the documentary series' new season - choses three areas to investigate a tragic, pervasive problem: big money from drug deals corrupting police and politicians.
