AID TO SPOUSES IN RELOCATION DECLINES

The percentage of companies offering spouse reemployment assistance to transferred employees has declined slightly since 1987, according to survey by Runzheimer International consultants. Only 36 percent of 173 relocation administrators surveyed said their firms offered reemployment assistance, down from 44 percent three years ago. Among common types of assistance: informal job networks, resume writing, career counseling.
