WILL EMPLOYEES GIVE ADVICE ON COST-SAVING?

A majority of American workers say they can help lower costs for their companies, and an overwhelming 86 percent feel a personal responsibility to do so. But only 30 percent say these cost-cutting efforts are rewarded by their company, according to a survey by Brooks International, a management consulting firm. A quarter of the employees were unsure if their company has specific goals regarding cost reduction and holds everyone accountable for helping to achieve them, according to the national survey of 11,000 employees from 12 major companies in six industries.
