Jewels From The Different Seasons

As the natural world turns from one phase to another, the careful eye finds moments of energy and color. Green Thumbs

I go to the garden, kneeling on earth's muscled rind. Below me, the earthworm's long, dark translation of the world. I plant only what endures. My unfinished glass of water appears to beg me for a flower. Everything comes down to growth, and I challenge this with green thumbs and parables of light.
