WORTH NOTING ON TV

SUNDAY

NBA Playoffs (NBC, 12-8 p.m.): In a tripleheader, the Indiana Pacers play the New York Knicks in New York, the L.A. Lakers take on the Phoenix Suns in Phoenix, and the Chicago Bulls host the Atlanta Hawks. Coverage begins with NBC's pre-game "NBA Showtime," hosted by Bob Costas.

Investigative Reports, A Royal Scandal (A&E, 8 p.m. and 12 a.m.): Royal watchers may want to tune in to this one-hour special. It probes whether intimate phone calls (resulting in the notorious "Squidgy" and Camilla-gate tapes) at Buckingham Palace were bugged and rebroadcast so ham-radio operators could pick up conversations and then sell the tapes to the tabloids. The program is part of A&E's "Monarchy Month," which will feature a profile on a different member of the royal family each Tuesday in May.

'Til Death Do Us Part (CNN, 9-10 p.m.): Every 15 seconds a woman in the United States is beaten by her boyfriend or spouse, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. So what happens when women take violent measures to end the abuse - is it murder or self-defense? "CNN Presents" talks to women who have killed their abusers and examines the legalities of this issue. MONDAY

Dancing (PBS, 9-11 p.m.): Dancing is part of every culture. A series that runs in two-hour blocks over the next four Mondays focuses on dances around the world and what they tell us about ourselves and others. "Dancing"took six years to make and was filmed in 18 countries on five continents. Segments take a look at the power of dance, royal courts and their dances, how different religions use dance, and new dances that result when cultures blend.
