TIME ON HOLD ON A TELEPHONE ADDS UP TO TWO WEEKS A YEAR

Executives estimate they waste an average 15 minutes a day on hold - that adds up to two weeks a year, according to a recent nationwide survey.

The survey, developed by OfficeTeam, a national staffing service specializing in temporary office professionals, polled 150 executives from the nation's 1,000 largest companies.

"While time on hold may be an inevitable part of doing business, it consumes the same amount of time that the average American worker receives for vacation each year," says Andrew Denka, executive director of OfficeTeam.
