IS THE JOURNAL UNTOUCHABLE?

* Unlike IBM, General Motors, and American Express, whose mistakes have been well chronicled, Dow Jones's deficiencies have remained largely unreported. Most press accounts of the company are either fawning or timid. Because the Journal is always a potential employer or reviewer of books, everyone treads lightly. The Journal, together with Dow Jones, is just too powerful.
