A Child Amazed By the Summer

A child amazed by the summer,

I'm harvesting

About these ads

in the immensity of a thirsty meadow.

I lose myself

into the seeds of wheat

or among the giant watermelons

lying down like whales

on a golden ocean.

Somewhere, the summer takes me

About these ads

beyond the horizon,

where I see bent reapers,

like links of a chain,

turning the field into silence.

Far away,

an antique clock runs

senseless

on the wall of a lonely school.

With dew in my eyes,

I'm harvesting in this world

without time,

amazed by the summer.
