IRA jailbreak attempt

THE British and Irish governments said Saturday that Northern Ireland's peace process is still on track despite an attempted jailbreak in England that included five Irish Republican Army prisoners.

The escapees shot a prison guard before they were caught. Unionist politicians in Northern Ireland said this constituted a breach of the IRA cease-fire.

Neither government has said it broke the cease-fire pledge.
