47th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards (FOX, 8-11 p.m.): Co-hosting this awards program for prime-time TV shows are Jason Alexander of ''Seinfeld'' and Cybill Shepherd, star of ''Cybill.'' Top award contenders include NBC's ''ER'' with 23 nominations, ABC's ''NYPD Blue'' with 13, and NBC's ''Frasier'' with 12. Among those scheduled to present awards at this event of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences: Candice Bergen, Ellen DeGeneres, Kelsey Grammer, Angela Lansbury, Jay Leno, Mary Tyler Moore, Paul Reiser, Jerry Seinfeld, and Garry Shandling.

Those hoping to see the stars make their grand entrance into the Pasadena Civic Auditorium can tune in at 7:30 to ''Countdown to the Emmys,'' hosted by Dick Clark.

* MONDAY

Maurice Sendak's Little Bear (Nickelodeon, 12 noon-12:30 p.m.): Preschoolers can take some cues from this bear cub, who may not be able to do everything but has an imagination to open worlds of exploration and experience. This new program is the first TV series for renowned illustrator-author Maurice Sendak - who illustrated children's books written by Else Holmelund Minarik that form the basis for this series.

Parents themselves may have grown up with Minarik's book series, which was first published by HarperCollins in 1957. Minarik has also written several new stories for this Nickelodeon program.
