Reflections on Snow

Reflections on Snow

After many a winter

I seem to like snow best

that never falls

unless on a Christmas card

or in a paperweight

blowing up a blizzard

when shaken. Still and all

the first snowfall

of the season is hard

to resist: The world

is clad in a white

choir robe ... there

is a sparkle in the air;

the meadow is whiter than white.

I might give in ... just might.
