Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

A story on possible unity-building moves for the president-elect (Dec. 1, page 3) misstated Gov. George W. Bush's handling of a "patients' bill of rights" in Texas. He let the bill - which gave patients limited rights to sue their HMOs - become law without his signature.
