I cannot always keep the river's pace.
I need to pause,
become the island for a time,
look back,
ask questions of the lichen-covered rocks,
learn how the moss illumines shadows
on the bank,
and then move on.

Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.
