Trivia quiz: Which country can honestly say every single citizen has wireless Internet access? Answer: Niue. Courtesy of a charity, the Internet Users Society, every square mile is covered. That's significant because weather conditions on the remote South Pacific nation - frequent rain, lightning, and high humidity - aren't compatible with ordinary broadband connections. Of course, the island has only 1,700 people.

To mark the 100th anniversary of the first manned, powered, and sustained airplane flight - by the Wright brothers Dec. 17, 1903 - Aviation Week polled industry professionals on the most influential people in aerospace history. The magazine's top 10:

1. Wilbur and Orville Wright (invented the first airplane)
2. Wernher von Braun (developed Germany's V2 missile and the US Saturn 5 moon rocket)
3. Robert Goddard (launched first liquid-fueled rocket, 1926)
4. Leonardo da Vinci (Renaissance artist, conceptualized the helicopter and the parachute)
5. Glenn Curtiss (staged the first shipboard takeoff and landing in 1910-'11, respectively)
6. Charles Lindburgh (piloted the first solo, nonstop flight from New York to Paris, 1927)
7. Gen. "Billy" Mitchell (advocated US air power)
8. C.L. "Kelly" Johnson (designed Lockheed aircraft such as the F-80, F-104, and U-2)
9. Neil Armstrong (first human to walk on the moon, 1969)
