Into it: Stacy London

Stacy London, co-host of TLC's 'What Not to Wear,' what are you ...

... Watching?

I'm a huge fan of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. I think Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni are the most fantastic actors.... You usually find out who the actual culprit is by the 22nd minute, and I try to test myself to see if i can find them before that. I recently saw Grey Gardens again.... It's [a documentary] about two women who are cousins of Jackie O.... They're sort of American royalty who are socialites and have completely gone to pot. [They] live with cats, and raccoons live in the attic. It's one of these fascinating studies of human nature that I think is amazing.

... Listening to?

I've been listening to the Scissor Sisters, Everything But the Girl, and Kanye West. Everything But the Girl is an English band from the 1980s, but they're still making music. [Singer] Tracey Thorn ... has the voice of an angel. They made an album called "Amplified Heart," which is a great collection of very sweet love songs.

Scissor Sisters is pop, but not mainstream pop. They're along the lines of Death Cab for Cutie, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand.

I understand that there is a lot of controversy about rap in general - its take on women, its take on violence, that sort of thing. I also think it's an amazing art form. [West's] "Gold Digger" is one of the most clever songs ever - it's hilarious.

... Reading?

I ordered a book called The Polaroid Book, which is an art book of polaroids taken by amateurs and professionals.... I love the idea of taking art photographs with polaroids.... It's very simple. They don't enlarge [the images]; they are polaroid-sized on a white background. And then I got My Prescription for Anti-Depressive Living, which is by Jonathan Adler, an interior designer. My interest in that is because I not-so-recently bought an apartment and have been desperately waiting to renovate. I've been in fashion since graduating in college, and I'm very confident about putting together outfits for people. But when it comes to interiors ... I have absolutely no spacial sense. I change my mind every day about color scheme. I mean French country doesn't really go with '60's Italian mod. Or maybe it it does. I wish somebody would help me decide.

Stacy London and her TLC co-host, Clinton Kelly, are the authors of "Dress Your Best," now out in paperback.
