Where to find 'Nemo,' a brief history of art, and a movie that doesn't hedge its bets.
13 going on 30
The impossibly suave heist experts of Ocean's 13 return to Las Vegas for yet another mission impossible. The team – led by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon – turns the gambling tables on a corrupt casino owner (Al Pacino). This threequel doesn't disappoint.
Where to find 'Nemo'
Disneyland's beloved lagoon submarines, not seen since their 1998 retirement, have been retooled for a new ride: Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. The Nemo-themed dive incorporates the film's fish folk, flitting around beneath the colorful reef, which has been newly repainted with long-lasting "glass paint." One more reason to make the pilgrimage to the home of the Disney empire.
In the footsteps of The Beatles
Many of the world's music greats will traverse the legendary crosswalk outside London's Abbey Road Studios to play sessions for a new series on The Sundance Channel. Live From Abbey Road (June 21, 10 p.m.) features performances by David Gilmour, Madeleine Peyroux, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Paul Simon, Snow Patrol, and Norah Jones. It's not just for music snobs: Iron Maiden play, too. To kick it all off, John Mayer puts on a Fender Stratocaster display that's more Stevie Ray Vaughan than Buddy Holly.
The numbers game
For hardball geeks, ESPN.com's Player Ratings creates an absolute ranking of baseball's pros, irrespective of field position. Located at http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/index, the new feature grades pitchers and sluggers – and everyone between – on appropriate criteria. It works surprisingly well: the current leader is the indomitable Magglio Ordonez.
Fine art in pixels
This must have required the patience of Michelangelo. Women in Art, a roughly three-minute video recently posted on YouTube, displays a series of seamlessly morphing images: the ladies depicted in dozens of portraits by Da Vinci, Sargent, Renoir, and many others. Its creator matched and aligned the subjects' eyes in each successive frame, to remarkable effect. Artful in every sense.
