6. George W. Bush vs. John Kerry

Palin praises George W. Bush for speaking consistently about the importance of religion in his life.

During the 2004 presidential debates, Palin praises former President George W. Bush as remaining "consistent in his belief" that religion and prayer sustain him. But "Senator Kerry" she writes, "changed his tune depending on the policy in question." When it came to abortion, Kerry said he could not legislate his faith to another American. But when it came to government programs for the poor and the environment, then, writes Palin, "Kerry changed his tune," stating that his support for such programs came from "belief of faith."
