5. Sweden – 42 percent

With nuclear power generating 42 percent of its electricity, Sweden has shifted its position on nuclear power. Three decades after banning the construction of new nuclear plants, it repealed the policy this past June. Now, Sweden is expected to replace its 10 reactors by building new ones in existing plants. Still, the nation’s can’t have more than 10 sites and the government won’t approve new sites for nuclear plants.
