Before Occupy Wall Street: American protests

From its inception, the United States of America has been home to rebellious people. A group of 'patriots' dumps tea into Boston Harbor on Dec. 13, 1998, the 225th Anniversary of the original Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party of 1773 protested the imposition of taxes on tea by the British government without granting the American colonies representation in Parliament.
