An English designer has created an iPad from solid gold and diamonds. Price tag on the iPad Supreme? Think big.

The Apple iPad Supreme is said to be made out of pure gold. Well, we know how we're spending our next million.

Amateur Apple fans get the iPad with Wi-Fi support. Serious Apple users opt for the iPad 3G. And real Apple purists – or the fabulously wealthy – opt for the iPad Supreme, a device hewn from a single piece of solid 22ct gold.

According to Stuart Hughes, the owner and founder of the "world's most fabulous" communications company, the iPad Supreme is a "combination of top of the industry technology and unrivaled craftsmanship."

Needless to say, the iPad Supreme doesn't come cheap.

In fact, it'll set you back more than a $190,000. (Compare that to the ground-level Apple iPad, which retails for $499, or the 3G model, which tops out at $829.) But for $190,000, you're getting an object that is sure to dazzle all the other passengers on the daily commuter train. Consider, for instance, the Apple logo on the back of the iPad Supreme, which comprises "a magnificent total of 53 individually set" diamonds.

Hughes, who is based in the city of Liverpool, has said he will make only 10 iPad Supremes – so hurry up and grab one while the getting is good. "This most luxurious iPad's appearance is outstanding even down to the precise polishing to reveal its most beautiful harmonious appearance," Hughes notes proudly.

Not yet sold? Take a look at the video below. (And prepare for a blast of cheesy lounge music.)

The iPad Supreme, it should be said, is not Hughes's first foray into bejeweled electronics. He also sells a gilded Nintendo Wii – retail price is over $400K – a gilded Apple iPod, and a gilded Apple MacBook. Well, now we know what to do with our next million.

Update: Since we started writing this post, Hughes's site appears to have crashed. Possibly under the weight of all that bling.
