In the heart of my belly
I yearn ...
I pour out my longing –
my fullness, my emptiness,
on milk-filled cereal bowls,
crumpled floor-strewn nighties
and syrup-stained table tops,
hoping that it matters,
this order imposed on chaos,
trusting,
in the heart of your bellies,
you'll always have Home
to come home to –
a yearning deeper than words,
stronger than the ciphers of the universe,
richer than tranquility,
a yearning fulfilled.
