Longtime CNN reporter Octavia Nasr found herself in hot water over a tweet.

After the passing of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah in July, Ms. Nasr tweeted the following:

"Sad to hear of the passing of Sayyed Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah… One of Hezbollah's giants I respect a lot."

Hezbollah, of course, is considered a terrorist organization by the United States. CNN's statement on the matter called Nasr's tweet "an error in judgment," and an internal memo said Nasr's "credibility in her position as senior editor for Middle Eastern affairs has been compromised going forward.”

In a blog post apologizing for the remark, Nasr wrote that she was not praising Fadlallah's life work, but rather appreciating his "pioneering stand among Shia clerics on woman's rights."
