Danica Patrick not happy after Bristol NASCAR wreck (VIDEO)

Danica Patrick is giving NASCAR a serious run this year. A wreck involving Ryan Truex last weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway didn't help Danica Patrick in the Nationwide Series points chase.

After making a splash with her IndyCar debut six years ago, Danica Patrick is running with the boys this year in NASCAR, primarily on the Nationwide Series, which is one level below the Sprint Cup Series.

Earlier this month, she recorded a best-ever finish by a female driver in NASCAR history when she captured fourth place at the Las Vegas Nationwide stop.

This past Saturday, Patrick, who has an IndyCar victory, crashed on Lap 247 of the Scotts EZ Seed 300 at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, after she and fellow driver Ryan Truex collided. For his part, Truex apologized for the wreck.

The Bristol track is well known to be a tough place to drive for even the most experienced NASCAR racers, with more than its share of wrecks.

Patrick is scheduled to go back to the IZOD IndyCar Series for its kickoff race March 27 and return to NASCAR racing in June.
