OPEC considers increase in aid to third world

A special meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries May 7 in Saudi Arabia will consider increasing funds to third world countries, Sri Lankan Finance Minister Ronnie De Mel said Monday. Mr. De Mel, who had weekend talks here with Dr. Ibrahim Shihata, director general of the OPEC Special Fund, said the funds might be increased by $5 billion.
